What We Do
Public Housing
Public Housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development provides guidance, support and a subsidy for local public housing operation.
Assisted Housing
The Hoboken Housing Authority is committed in serving the needs of the elderly, families and the disabled. The Housing Choice Voucher also known as Section 8 provides assistance to low Income families, the elderly and the disabled to afford decent housing in the private market..
RAD Program
The Rental Assistance Demonstation Program is Hoboken Housing Authority’s key instrument for sustainability, stabilization, rehabilitation and new construction. This year the RAD Program is securing $2.5 million for improvements at our senior/disabled site FoxHill Gardens.
